Karya Director Adds Image Ads, Whole-Video Analysis and Real Footage as B-Roll

Karya Director shipped three updates today: a way to generate still image ads straight from your product photos, deeper analysis that studies an entire reference video instead of just its opening, and the option to drop your own real footage into a generated video as B-roll. All three are live now in the Director tab, on the same credit balance as the rest of Karya.

Image ads: a full ad kit from your product photos

Director's video and Multiplier tools now have a sibling for still images. Pick one of eight ad styles and Director writes a headline, a subline, a call to action and a layout plan around the product photos you upload:

• Testimonial quote card
• Offer banner
• Feature callout
• UGC lifestyle shot
• Comparison card
• 3-frame carousel

You can edit any of that copy before generating. Approve it and Director renders 1 to 4 text-accurate images - headlines, sublines and CTAs render as real, readable text on the image - with a photoreal option for lifestyle-style shots. The credit cost is shown before you approve, the same rule as every other Director job.

Whole-video analysis, not just the opening

Paste a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook link up to 2 minutes long and Director now studies the whole clip frame by frame, rather than mainly reading its opening seconds. The structure it recreates - pacing, shot pattern, arc - reflects the full reference, which matters most for longer or multi-beat ads where the opening hook is not the whole story.

28 hooks in 5 tabs, and your own words even on Auto

The hook library grew to 28 opening hooks, organized across 5 tabs. Auto mode still picks a hook and a setting for you by default, but you can now type your own hook line or your own setting instead, even while everything else stays on Auto - useful when you already know the exact opening line or backdrop you want and do not need Director to guess the rest.

Your own footage as B-roll

Generated video is not the only option anymore. Upload photos or video of your real location, or footage of an existing testimonial, and use it as B-roll - each clip or photo you supply replaces a shot Director would otherwise have generated for that segment, so a real storefront, a real customer, or a real product-in-hand moment can sit right alongside the generated shots in the same video.

A progress screen built for running more than one job

A live progress screen now shows an ETA and a progress ring while a video renders, with a "Let's generate another" option so several videos can cook at once instead of one at a time. Jobs keep running after you close the tab, and you can come back to any of them later from My Generations.

Karya Clone gets the same upgrade

Karya Clone (formerly Multiply) - turning one finished ad into several variants by swapping the character, location, product or outfit - now takes the same link-or-upload input up to 2 minutes long, shows you what it studied from the reference, and lets you make the swap with photos or a written prompt. The original and the variant sit side by side so you can compare before you commit.

What it costs

Every cost is shown before you approve, and a failed step is refunded automatically, same as everywhere else in Karya:

• Ad copy (headline, subline, CTA and layout plan): 4 credits, plus the credit cost of each rendered image.
• Footage uploaded as B-roll: 3 credits per video clip, 1 credit per photo.
• Whole-video analysis of a reference link: a flat 8 credits, regardless of the clip's length.
