Introducing Karya Director: Paste a Link or Upload Photos, Get a Finished Marketing Video

Most AI-made marketing videos still need someone to write the script, generate each clip, record or synthesize a voiceover, and cut it all together by hand. Karya Director collapses that into one guided flow: give it your product and a direction, approve one storyboard, and it directs, generates, voices and captions a finished vertical video on its own.

It launched inside Karya Studio as a new tab alongside Image, Video, Flow, Lip Sync, Cinema and Marketing Studio - same account, same credit balance, no separate sign-up.

Two ways to start: paste a link, or let Director suggest a concept

From the Director home screen you choose "Create a new video," then upload 1-8 clear product photos. From there you have two paths, and which one you take is entirely up to you:

• Link mode - paste a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube link as a reference. Director watches it and recreates its winning structure with your product: the pacing, the shot pattern, the arc that made it work, rebuilt around what you are selling.
• Concept mode - skip the link. Director suggests a few concept directions from your product photos instead, so you can build a video from a style template with no reference clip at all.

The style library: over 50 templates

Whichever path you take, the next step is picking a style from four packs: Party & Gifting (reveal and unboxing formats built for shareability), UGC & Ad Formats (26 proven talking-head, unboxing, testimonial and stunt-hook styles), Product Motion (cinematic product showcases and 360 orbits with no presenter needed), and Direct-Response Ads (persuasion-structured arcs like Problem → Solution, Testimonial, Before/After Results and Special Offer). Over 50 style templates in total, each previewed with a real sample clip before you pick it.

On top of a style you can layer an optional Hook - a short, attention-grabbing opener (a product literally flying into frame, a street-interview pivot, a deadpan stunt) - and an optional Setting for your presenter, from realistic backdrops like a kitchen, office or gym to a few deliberately unrealistic ones like a rooftop at golden hour or an active volcano rim, for the ads that want to stand out with a bit of spectacle.

If your style calls for a presenter, Director includes a roster of AI presenters to choose from, plus a set of bundled caption fonts so the finished video's on-screen text matches your brand from the first draft.

One storyboard, then it runs itself

Set your video's duration (10 to 120 seconds) and you get one storyboard to review and approve before anything renders - a checkpoint to catch the concept before spending on generation, not after. Approve it and Director takes over: generating every segment, adding voiceover and music, and assembling, mixing and captioning the finished video. You do not have to keep the tab open or watch a progress bar - Director keeps working in the background and the project simply updates to "ready" when it is done.

Three languages, and one-click re-localization

Every Director video can be produced in English, Chinese (中文) or Bahasa Melayu. Once a video is finished, you are not locked into that one language - open it and re-localize it into either of the other two with a single click. Director re-voices and re-captions the same finished video rather than making you start a new project, so one video becomes three without rebuilding anything.

Multiplier: turn one winning ad into six

Already have a video that is working? The other path on the Director home screen, "Multiply an existing ad," takes a finished video and spins up to 6 fresh variants by swapping in a new character, outfit, location or product - a fast way to test creative angles on something you already know performs, without directing a new video from zero.

Caption styles built in

Every Director video is captioned automatically, in one of two styles: Classic, a word-by-word sync bar at the bottom of the frame, or Cinematic, editorial cues that move around the frame with a single large hero-word treatment for the video's key line. Pick whichever matches your brand before generation starts.

Pricing: credits, same as everywhere else in Karya

Karya Director runs on the same pay-as-you-go credits as every other studio - there is no separate subscription or plan for it. You see the credit cost before you generate, credits never expire, and a failed step is refunded automatically rather than lost.
